Hubby got bit by a dog

A pit bull attacked Nick while he was working at a customers house [he works for At&t]. Next time you call the cable guy out, PUT YOUR DOG UP! It broke a bone in his hand so he is having to get it fixed.

He has to have surgery tomorrow at 3. I am dreading this. He is off work for at least 4 weeks.. more like 6-8. Most of it is paid. Workers comp is paying mostly everything right now and we are going to hire a lawyer.

Reunited

After waiting for 5 1/2 months my Sister in law Kristen & her boyfriend Brandon got "reunited". He had been deployed to Iraq from June until October and then he was stationed in Hawaii for the past month and a half. Today was the day he got to come home.

Their lives are complete now..

We went to the airport this morning and I took a few pictures.

I'm really tired so i think I'm gonna get the girls something to eat and then maybe lay down. I am soo so tired!

MacKenzie is 11 months!

My youngest is 11 months old today. It makes me so so sad.

I don't know why but the first year always flies by so so so fast!

She is walking, has 2 teeth, plays patty cake, points, shakes her head no, says Mama- Dada- Bite- Pappaw- uh huh- bath- cat- ball. That is all I think. She may say more than that but that's all i can think of. At her checkup on the 13th she was 29 1/2 inches and 19 pounds, 9 ounces. [86th % for Height, 50th for weight]. She is into everything and has learned to climb on her sissies bed in the last month.

She loves "table" food but will still eat banana baby food. She is such a joy to be around.

She is such a doll baby and i love her so so much! I look forward to watching her grow, like i have with Mhorgan. They are so cute together and mean so much to me.

What i want to do before i die

I have always been one to make lists. Always. I can remember being a little girl and making lists of things that i wanted to do, places that i wanted to go, what i wanted to be when i grew up. Lists have always been a part of my life it seems. On a daily basis it seems i make lists. I usually get most of the things done on them.. but i wanted to write a bigger list of things that i would like to see myself and my family do.

So.. Here is a list of things that i would like to do before i die.
I will add to it as i think of things

Grow a garden
Get a boxer dog
Learn to drive a standard where i feel completely comfortable driving it
Write a "life story" book for my girls for when they get older
Become a Professional Photographer
Pay off my house
Learn to sew
Learn to play guitar
Read the entire bible
Stay in a five star hotel with Nick
Go on a cruise
See Colorado in the winter
Become Debt free
Buy Nick a corvette
Become an Interstitial Cystitis advocate
Regular Pioneer for a year
Learn how to make wine
Make a scrapbook for each of the girls
Have a third baby
Go to a razorback game
Shoot a gun
Beat a video game
Print one of my pictures really huge and hang it in the house.

Photography

I have always loved to take pictures. I used to go to the store every few days and get me a one time use camera so that i'd have plenty of pictures.. and believe me, i have tons and tons of pictures in boxes and scrapbooks and picture albums from when i was growing up and a teenager.

If i had to chose one career it would be photography. I love capturing "the" moment. I love being able to look back and feel that emotion. I just love everything to do with photography. I love learning and i don't ever think that i will learn enough about Photography. It is something that you always continue to learn and grow in. At least that is my opinion.

With that being said.. I would love one day to start a photography business. I don't see it happening in the NEAR future but maybe sometime down the line. I am not a very "business" person and don't like that aspect of it but i do like the actual taking pictures, editing pictures, and learning process of it.

Here are a couple of my favorite pictures [of scenery] from the past few months.

It always bugs me when i hear Canon vs. Nikon wars. [Yes, i am going there]. I personally own a Nikon. BUT that doesn't mean that i don't think Canon is a great brand. That doesn't mean that they don't produce great cameras, great products, great lenses and that they aren't a great company. It just means that i have a Nikon. They are both great. If one was really that much better than the other one than the other would be out of business. That is the way i look at it anyways. Same goes with Sony, Olympus, Pentax, etc. They all produce good cameras. There should not be all this .. "my camera is better than yours because its a canon crap". It is stupid. I think it isn't just the camera that makes the picture. You can have just an ordinary point and shoot camera but if you know how to use it than you can produce great pictures. It is all about learning the camera that you have and about capturing the moment. Who cares about which brand of camera you are using while doing that.

About me

I don't usually like to talk about myself but i figured since this is a new blog i will write my life story [kidding, ha].

I was born in Arkansas in the summer of 86..[7.17]. Which makes me twenty three. I have lived in Arkansas my entire life.

At the age of Eighteen [2004] I married Nick. We had been together for only 6 months but had known each other for a couple of years before that. We hit it off right away when we started dating and were inseparable through those first 6 months. We have been married for FIVE years.

I never really thought that i would be a mom but 9 months after we got married i found out that i was pregnant with Mhorgan. She saved my life. She made me a mommy and i love her more than anything for that. She was such a beautiful baby and is such a beautiful little girl now.

MacKenzie was born January 3rd of 2009. When we got pregnant with her it was just what i needed. I had a very hard pregnancy. I was babysitting a little boy at the time, had a "friend" living with us, and then Nick had to leave for 3 1/2 months to go work out of town for a new job. It was hard but it made it worth it that much more when she was born. She is my miracle and i love her more than i could ever express. She is just BEAUTIFUL.

My life has not turned out the way that i expected but it has been worth it every step of the way. My girls mean everything to me and getting the chance to stay home with them means even more. They are both such beautiful little girls and i am truly blessed. <3
